In the TV show Happy Days, when the show began to decline, Arthur Fonzarelli began to jump shit with his motorcycle. And in one episode, he actually jumped over a shark on water skis, wearing a bathing suit and his leather jacket. This was definitely the declining moment of the TV show, the moment when everything after that one moment was all flowing downhill.
This website is a HUGE database of TV shows that had their "jump the shark" moments, which is now an actual term used by nerds like me to define when something goes downhill.
